Boka Restaurant Group and Top Chef/Iron Chef winner, Stephanie Izard, are currently seeking COUNTER STAFF to join the team of Little Goat Diner , located in Southport Corridor!

About Little Goat Diner: Little Goat Diner is the neighborhood spot for enjoying breakfast all-day, sharing coffee with friends and indulging in the diner staples you loved as a kid—along with creative takes on the classics!

Counter Staff Responsibilities:
    • Stock coffee bar area with all items based on prescribed  pars
    • Pr ep and serve drinks in specified time while using standardized recipes  
    • Follow steps of service to provide a quality guest dining experience  
    • Ring to-go food and beverage items and properly handle payments with 100% accuracy  
    • Communicate orders to the kitchen and routinely checks order flow and progression  
    • Expedite food and ensure orders are prepared accurately and to company standards
    • Assist in bagging of to-go orders  
    • Ensure proper sanitation standards are upheld by maintaining a clean and organized workstation  
    • Correctly audit and balance cash and credit card receipts as part of daily checkout procedures  
    • Assists in completing all opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures in a timely manner  
    • Maintain a high level of food , beverage , and menu knowledge to enhance guest experience
    • Engage in professional and friendly communication with all guests ensuring all expectations are exceeded
    • Display a sense of urgency to maintain the proper flow of service
    • Responsible for meeting a strict adherence to guest’s allergy requirements
    • Responsible for being a BRG ambassador by being flexible, proactive, and displaying a professional appearance at all times  
    • Maintain an open line of communication with FOH management staff during all service shifts
    • Maintain an open line of communication with managers regarding ordering ; repair and maintenance needs ; and safety issues 
    • Assists F OH team members in guest service , cleaning, and organization as needed
    • Be a pro-active problem solver by thoughtful ly identifying issues and communicating them to your manager  
Qualifications:
  • Prior restaurant experience
  • Open availability strongly preferred; weekend availability required
  • Maintain all required health, sanitation , and alcohol service certificate s
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal skills  
  • Genuine interest and commitment to providing sincere, positive, upbeat dining experience at all times

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Safely and effectively use all necessary tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant which may include stairs, uneven, and/or slick surfaces
  • Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environments
