Job Description

Barren Troy Holdings is a professionally run investment & holding company located in Centennial, CO. We own and operate two dozen automotive franchised businesses in multiple states with a varied real estate portfolio. We are a company on the grow, and we need talented individuals to continue to help propel our organization to the next level.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Ensure credibility of finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of financials (i.e. statement, cash flow, budgets)
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance & accounting functions for the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the company.
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

Requirements

  • An advanced level of Microsoft Excel experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in and build a high standard, high-performance, deadline orientated, accounting and fiscal management process and policy driven environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting best practices, principles, and procedures, including GAAP is required.
  • Strong understanding of cash accounting/accruals/deferrals and month-end procedures is required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate in a clear, concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, deadlines, and accuracy of content.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skill set.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a senior leadership team, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines is required.
  • Possess strong ethical standards and prominent levels of integrity.
  • Ability to build, lead, mentor, and manage junior staff and contractors and present to senior executives is required.
  • The ability to set performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff is required. Must be capable of fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the department.
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive financial policies, internal control process and written procedures to ensure sound financial governance process of the organization is required.
  • Must be a highly motivated individual, adaptable, individual who thrives in a fast- paced team environment and readily trains and attends to the changing needs of staff’s financial management goals.
  • Excellent analytical and technological skills.
  • 10+ years full cycle accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in directly managing a team
  • Full-Time on site
  • Big 4 public accounting firm experience a plus
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Experience Sage Intacct preferred
