Role:   Windows Server Administrator

Location:   Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 

Pay Range: Up to $95,000 / year depending on experience 

**Onsite requirement - Must be authorized to work in the United States now, and in the future, without assistance.

Job Description:

The Windows Server Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our Windows Server environment. This role requires hands-on experience with server management, troubleshooting, and ensuring the availability, performance, and security of the systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and domain controllers.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Install, configure, and update server hardware and software.
  • Implement security policies and procedures, including patch management and vulnerability assessments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to Windows Server environments.
  • Manage backup and recovery operations to ensure data protection and business continuity.
  • Implement and manage virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
  • Provide technical support to the IT team and end-users as needed.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for server configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company security policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Windows Server Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
  • Experience with server virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation.
