Job Description

Salary: $80,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical design or engineering management, preferably within automation or welding systems.
• Demonstrated capability to lead, mentor, and manage engineering teams as well as external design resources.
• Strong foundation in mechanical design; proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of spot and MIG welding systems along with familiarity with NAAMS components.
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with Autodesk Vault is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Epicor Kinetic ERP systems is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (including trips to Canada); U.S. Passport required.

Responsibilities:

• I will lead and foster a team of mechanical engineers, which includes design, project, process, and simulation engineers.
• I will oversee project planning by crafting detailed job logs (unit lists) and weekly resource schedules.
• I will manage resource allocation, forecasting, and workload balancing across various projects.
• I will evaluate and acquire external engineering support, participating in sourcing decisions.
• I will ensure compliance with and continuous enhancement of engineering standards, processes, and documentation.
• I will provide technical guidance in the design of comprehensive weld systems, covering tooling, motion systems, transfers, and station layouts.
• I will support the selection and specification of mechanical components when necessary.
• I will lead internal and external design reviews, ensuring compliance with Fori and customer standards.
• I will closely collaborate with Project Managers and Controls Project Engineers to facilitate smooth project execution.
• I will act as the technical liaison with customers, addressing design-related concerns and driving resolutions.
• I will step in as Project Engineer when necessary to guarantee project continuity and success.
