These are experienced professionals who provide technical and professional assistance to the Department of Agriculture for the Agriculture Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program.Benefits: Paid Health Insurance Premium for positions budgeted at 60+ hours per pay period, Accrued Vacation and Sick Leave, Paid Federal Holidays, and optional Vision and Dental Insurance available for positions budgeted at 35+ hours per pay period.Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. OR MA/MS Degree in Agriculture, Natural Resources, Agronomy or related field of study.Experience with NRCS Watershed Programs. Expert in producing documents. Valid Drivers License. Required.Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPointARCView (GIS)Duties:Assist the state watershed programs staff technical guidance and review of plans and associated documents. Provide assistance for scientific administration of the watershed programs on archaeological data, archeological resources, and historical preservation.Conducts analyses of issues associated with watershed policies, synthesizes data and information and provides advice and recommendations on resource problems to management and conservation districts including providing guidance on Watershed Programs, Plans, reviews, and assessments; aid conservationists in planning a variety of practices; policy interpretation.30%Provides a review of the watershed and technical services provided by NRCS staff and contractors.30%Provides analytical support for regulatory and policy actions, changes in programs, and specific conservation projects, including contributing work on impact assessments.20%Provide support to NRCS staff in managing watershed projects.
