Summary of Responsibilities
A part-time Video Producer at Highlands College plays a pivotal role in capturing and showcasing the vibrant campus life through engaging videos. As a part of the Creative Team, a video producer will develop concepts and work across departments to create compelling visual narratives. This role will work on projects that highlight the college's vision, connecting with a diverse audience, including prospective students, donors, and current students through the power of visual arts.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Create video content for Highlands College's internal and external audience
- Be a part of on and off-location video shoots
- Plan video shoots and direct as needed
- Conceptualize and create video content from start to finish
- Receive footage and be able to create a video outline with it
- Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence, deciding what is usable
- Overseeing the quality of the audio
- Capture video or photo of on and off-campus events
- Consulting with the director, producer, and/or other Highlands College teams throughout the post-production process
Other Duties
- Participate in ministry at Church of the Highlands and Highlands College by leading small groups
- Affirm and uphold the Statement of Faith and the Core Values and DNA of the College, exemplifying all by word and lifestyle
- Manage projects, organize tasks, and prioritize workload
- Communicate with the Creative Project Manager and other team members
- During non-business hours, he or she should be available for rare emergency work
- Participate in Highlands College Events
- Other duties as assigned

Abilities & Skills
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or Final Cut Pro (Premiere CC, After Effects CC)
- Experience with shooting and editing video on a deadline basis is preferred
- Experience and knowledge with audio quality and sound
- Experience and knowledge of color-grading video footage
- Wide knowledge and understanding of video, camera, and video shoot gear
- Ability to set up video shoots, including camera, audio, lighting, and more
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work as a team player and discuss needs, challenges, and ideas
- Ability to think ahead, anticipate needs, and offer creative solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to extract compelling elements from raw video footage
