Location: TelecommuteJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $50 - 55 per hourWe are seeking a creative and self-driven Video Animator to join our team on a contract basis to develop a series of short, engaging animated videos for a key organizational effectiveness project. This is a high-visibility role where you will operate as the primary creative asset builder, enjoying the flexibility of remote work. This initial project is expected to be completed within the next 10 weeks, with potential for long-term partnership on future work. The budget for this project is already approved.Responsibilities:This role is centered on creating a series of approximately 30-second mini-explainer videos focusing on organizational design, best practices, and brand standards. Creative Production: Serve as the main animator, bringing finalized scripts to life through mobile-friendly, plain language, and digestible short-sound bite animations. Design & Storyboarding: Work with the Hiring Manager (Susan Jodoin) and production team (managed by Rawle Borel) to review storyboards, provide creative feedback on scripts, and develop prototypes for client review. Bilingual Adaptation: Ensure final videos are produced in both English and French. Audio may be handled via AI tools, but the animator must manage the language adaptation of the visuals/text. Equipment & Software: Utilize your own professional equipment and animation software. (No client preference for specific tools/MAC/PC). Project Management: Maintain full-time availability (if possible) for the next 10 weeks to meet the fiscal year-end completion goal. Manage your own timeline/cost estimate for the series. Collaboration: Work with Rawle Borel (primary POC for hours/logistics) and Susan Jodoin (creative direction). What We're Looking For (Top Must-Have Skills) Organizational/Explainer Video Experience: Proven experience creating animated videos (infographics, learner-focused, educational content) with an organizational or corporate background. Portfolio of Animated Assets: A strong portfolio demonstrating a clean, professional aesthetic suitable for corporate learning/communication, with examples of short-form, digestible content. Qualifications: Bilingual Animation Adaptation: Experience or strong capability in adapting visual elements for both English and French language. Nice-to-Have/Wishlist Skills: Experience working with established brand standards and best practices. Familiarity with organizational design concepts. The ability to travel occasionally to the Mississauga office (60 Standish Court) for future in-person work/meetings. Tools and Technical Requirements Must use your own professional software and equipment. No specific tool preference (open to seeing AI tools used in your process-please share when submitting talent).
