Job Description

Kelaca is looking for a Vice President of Sales & Marketing  for our client partner in Cary, NC . Our client is a service and software company that helps schools across the country offer daily lunches to their students and staff by partnering with restaurants within the school communities they serve. They are passionate about positively impacting the lives of families and school communities by providing a full-service lunch solution that saves time and money.

We are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Sales & Marketing to spearhead marketing and sales, driving growth strategy and team management. The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will be pivotal in boosting brand visibility, customer acquisition, and revenue through innovative marketing and sales approaches. We are looking for a strategic leader well-versed in traditional and digital marketing, adept at sales management, and capable of crafting and executing cohesive plans aligned with our financial and branding objectives. This role involves team leadership, with a focus on fostering respect and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate will share our passion for providing quality lunches to students and staff, prioritizing community partnerships with integrity and innovation, and collaborating closely with our visionary founder.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and Execute Marketing & Sales Strategy : Lead the development and implementation of the company's integrated marketing and sales strategy, including branding, advertising, promotional activities, and sales initiatives, to support business objectives and drive growth.
  • Brand Management : Ensure that all marketing and sales efforts reflect and reinforce the company's values of integrity, accountability, excellence, optimism, community, passion, and teamwork. Maintain brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Digital Marketing : Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website management, social media marketing, email campaigns, SEO/SEM, and online advertising, to increase brand visibility and drive customer engagement.
  • Sales Team Management : Lead and mentor the sales teams, providing guidance, support, and training to optimize sales performance and achieve revenue targets. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales organization.
  • Market Research and Analysis : Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive insights. Use data and analytics to inform marketing and sales strategies and optimize campaign performance. Analyze the current market and determine how the market will evolve over the next five years in service, technology, customer needs and competition.
  • Content Creation and Storytelling : Develop compelling content that resonates with our target audience and communicates our brand values effectively. This includes written content, visual assets, videos, and other multimedia materials to support both marketing and sales efforts.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations : Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorship opportunities that align with our brand values and objectives, leveraging mutual benefits to expand our reach and influence in both marketing and sales channels. Communicate with Operations and Department leaders about opportunities to deliver a stronger brand.
  • Team Leadership and Development : Build and lead high-performing marketing, sales and school account teams by providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to foster a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Budget Management : Develop and manage the marketing and sales budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and tracking of expenses to maximize ROI and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives. Regularly analyze results and provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing and sales leadership roles, preferably in Sales, Hospitality, or Service Industry.
  • A legacy builder who has a proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing and sales strategies that drive business growth.
  • A leader with a strong understanding of traditional and digital marketing channels, tactics, and tools as well as sales management principles and techniques.
  • A team player with excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • A creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building and driving sales results.
  • Someone with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
