Job Description

Salary: $143,320 - 273,930 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative analytics discipline such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data Science, or related field; OR 4 years of relevant experience in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative analytics may substitute for the degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data and analytics or a related technical or business function; OR 6 or more years of experience with an advanced degree in a STEM field.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience leading or managing a team.
  • Proven experience overseeing teams conducting cost-benefit analyses and utilizing results for business intelligence solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience guiding teams in the collection and authoring of business intelligence solutions for large-scale, complex projects.
  • Exceptional facilitation, collaboration, and consensus-building skills with significant experience presenting to cross-functional groups and senior/executive leaders.
  • Subject matter expertise in applying and developing business intelligence practices and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong background in coaching others to translate needs into precise requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, risk management practices, and associated regulatory data sources.
  • Expertise in creating business deliverables utilizing business intelligence platforms, data management technologies, or SQL-based languages (e.g., Tableau, Business Objects, Snowflake, Hadoop, Netezza, NoSQL, ANSI SQL).
  • Proven thought leadership in integrating intuitive storytelling within business intelligence solutions and platforms, articulating complex technical information clearly.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the team in coordination with departmental, CoSA, and enterprise objectives.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal customers through effective team execution and brand management.
  • Manage performance of direct reports, focusing on talent development and succession planning.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality teamwork products that align with business value.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, risk, and internal control standards.
  • Assess and incorporate industry trends and best practices into current processes and strategic development plans.
  • Serve as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in advising business partners on decision support tools.
  • Promote innovation, prioritize work effectively, manage team capacity, and assist in resolving issues.
  • Hold team members accountable for achieving performance targets and establish data-driven development plans.
  • Collaborate with IT to enhance USAAs core information delivery capabilities and assist process owners in optimizing key user-defined analytics.
  • Provide guidance on information governance and management standards across Enterprise teams and CoSA/LOBs.
  • Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks linked to business operations in accordance with compliance policies.
