Job Description

Ashburn Veterinary Hospital and Fancy Paws Cat Clinic are looking for a full-time experienced veterinary assistant. We need an individual who loves working with both canine and feline patients and who is dedicated to providing exceptional service as well as educating clients on wellness and preventive care.

Our hospitals place a great deal of emphasis on preventive care and client experience and creating lasting bonds with our clients and patients. Individuals should be able to multi-task, possess great attention to detail, excellent verbal communication, and work as part of a team.

Tasks include, but not limited to:

• Experience with documenting treatment and history in electronic medical records,
• Ability to review medical records (vaccinations),
• clinical skills: gentle restraint of pets for exam, blood draw, catheter placement
• knowledge regarding preventive care
• ability to perform diagnostic procedures, and use medical equipment such as digital x-ray.
