the pay

CBI has been leading the way in increasing wages for Security Officers in the Salt Lake Valley. Since 2022, we have negotiated pay raises for 91% of our contracts and are working weekly to improve our officers' standard of living.

As of this posting, we have positions available that range from $18-$21 starting . CBI highly prefers to promote from within our ranks , and we have supervisor and other opportunities to work that will be very surprising.

What will you do (responsibilities)?

Our sites have a LARGE range of various responsibilities. However, in general you will be responsible for:

• Observing and reporting any issues arising to authorities
• Responding appropriately and calmly to diverse situations
• Controlling the entries and exits of secured locations, ensuring only authorized employees and approved visitors are admitted.
• Writing and reading day-to-day accounts of activities on site
• Carefully patrolling an area by vehicle or foot as assigned
• Diligently observing computer systems to monitor camera and badge apps
• Expertly and professionally applying client's policies, procedures and standards in each interaction with public or employees.

What do we require to hire?

• Must be 18 years or older
• Need to be able to pass drug and background check
• Veterans must provide DD-214
• Need to be able to use apps on computers and smartphones
• Must be able to exercise good judgment/decisions and practice appropriate grooming standards
• Integrity and flexibility are both vital in security professions
• Physically able to walk up/down stairs and stay alert for entire shift
• Successful completion of our no-cost, one-day basic unarmed security license class
• Must be able to Speak and Write English.
