What You Will Do - Achieve: Operates vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and GIRE regulations. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Adhere to all GIRE personnel policies and procedures.
- Support: Goodwill truck drivers are responsible for loading and unloading trucks as well as operating a box truck (most frequently 24’-26’) to facilitate the collection, delivery and transportation of donations to/from retail stores and donation sites safely and on time, and in a manner that maintains and promotes Goodwill's positive public image.
- Communicate: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ensure the safety of your environment through proper training, and communication with your team and with appropriate staff members from other parts of the organization. To Be Successful You Will Have
- Valid Class C California drivers' license required.
- DMV record (must be acceptable to insurance carrier)
- Minimum of five (5) years driving experience
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to speak and understand English.
- Ability to interact well with co-workers and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and maneuver heavier weights using proper lifting techniques and safety equipment.
