By joining our team, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your design expertise to serve as a design lead on transportation related projects. We’ll provide you the opportunity to lead a large team of engineers and oversee scheduling, coordination and technical work. You’ll work with various disciplines to efficiently complete tasks on schedule. The Transit Design Manager acts as an executive PM wherever needed, across the Transportation and Transit market sectors. Additionally, the Transit Design Manager will work with our design teams to ensure we’re delivering to the highest standard in the industry. Transit Design Manager will also participate in recruitment and business development in order to consistently grow our business.
You’ll interpret internal or external business issues and recommend best practices. Also, we’ll look to you to solve complex problems, take a broad perspective to identify different solutions, as well as guide others in solving complex issues in specialized areas based on existing solutions and procedures.
You’ll work with an experienced and innovative team of Engineers and Project Managers, as well as leverage your experience working directly with our clients and contractor partners to solve their most challenging problems. • Substantial years of experience managing design for highway/bridge and rail/transit projects.
• Experience working with Northeast Transportation Agencies a must, MTA, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NJTRANSIT, NJDOT, NJTPA, MASSDOT, MBTA, ConnDOT, etc.
• Design-Build management experience a must
• Design experience on projects of > $ 300 M construction cost
• Licensed and registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York
• Willingness to pursue PE in other Northeast states (if does not already hold)
• Strong organizational and communication skills and leadership abilities
