Position Summary:
Are you an experienced transportation and logistics professional ready to take on a pivotal role in optimizing supply chain operations Join our team as a Traffic Manager where youll lead and manage inbound and outbound logistics trade compliance and carrier negotiations. This role is instrumental in driving costeffective transportation solutions ensuring regulatory compliance and enhancing supply chain efficiency for our new $7M warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic plans to optimize freight logistics and inventory using various transportation modes including TL LTL expedited air international and forwarding services.
• Manage and evaluate 3PL service providers to maximize freight and system efficiencies.
• Analyze freight and logistics costs providing datadriven recommendations to support organizational goals.
• Lead supplier negotiations and establish carrier performance review processes to ensure excellence in service delivery.
• Collaborate with purchasing and other departments to align freight and logistics strategies with company objectives.
• Review and approve transportation invoices and spending activities while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Oversee global customs documentation focusing on harmonized tariff schedules customs valuation and import VAT rules.
• Manage and implement Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for streamlined operations.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams vendors freight forwarders customs brokers and government agencies to support compliance and smooth logistics.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in transportation and logistics with proven expertise as a Traffic Manager Logistics Manager or a related supply chain role.
• Trade Compliance: Indepth knowledge of trade compliance and tariff classifications particularly for USMexico and MexicoChina shipments.
• Longevity: A strong track record of stability with at least 4 years in your most recent role.
• Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with carriers such as CH Robinson FedEx and UPS.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in TMS Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred given regular crossborder operations and vendor communications.
