With a new state-of-the-art facility in Livermore, we are a well-respected and growing semiconductor manufacturer looking for an Thermal Engineering Manager to work onsite. You will manage a technically diverse team of thermal engineering professionals supporting past, current, and ongoing customer needs as well as chart the technical direction of the Thermal Engineering department.

The ideal candidate will have been an Engineer that is moving into management and has experience managing a smaller engineering team.

Position Overview: The Thermal Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the thermal engineering process in a complex high-technology environment. This role will ensure that the thermal engineering process of the semiconductor manufacturing environment is optimized and carried out effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the thermal engineering process in a complex high-technology environment.
• Develop effective project schedules, resource loading and priority setting.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Monitor progress of projects and provide regular status updates.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in thermal engineering, engineering management and semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of operations management principles and practices.
• Ability to work in a complex high-technology environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
