Role: Tester

Location: Halifax, NS (Permanent remote from anywhere in CAN)

Duration: 06+months

Job Descripiton:

• The Tester thoroughly evaluates the software products according to the business standards or function requirements. The Tester performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.
• The Tester isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes. Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Decisions are typically focus on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3 years of technical testing experience
• Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes
• Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements
• Experience testing/working with IBM Watson or testing Voice/IVR call flows, test case automation, writing SQL queries, using qTest and Azure DevOps, utilizing SOAP UI/Postman and Cyara for call load testing
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
