Job Title: Software Performance Test Engineer III

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid/ Remote)

Mode: Contract

Education and Experience

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred.
• 6+ years of experience executing software load and performance testing in an enterprise environment.
• Proven experience as a Load Test Engineer or similar role in performance testing.
• Proficiency in load testing tools such as JMeter.
• Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Java, and/or JavaScript).
• Experience with AWS or other cloud-based architectures.

Skills

• Design and develop load test plans, test scripts, and test scenarios based on requirements and specifications.
• Execute load tests and analyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks, capacity issues, and other potential problems.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to ensure load testing aligns with project goals and timelines.
• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics during load tests, including response times, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Provide detailed reports and recommendations based on load test findings to improve system performance and scalability.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools and technologies related to load testing and performance engineering.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand project architecture and business requirements to devise a performance test strategy and performance test plans.
• Identify production metrics important to performance/load testing efforts; assist with collection methods when feasible.
• Manage performance testing artifacts to ensure proper versioning, backups, organization, and retention.
• Maintains load testing environments.
