Our work depends on a Test Engineer joining our Federal Health team.

The Test Engineer will support the Federal Health programs. In support of the Federal Health programs, GDIT is tasked to develop, test, support and enhance public and private web portals, internal modules, data repositories, reports, and provide operational support to the agencies we support.

Job Duties:
  • Perform various types of application testing such as manual, regression and performance testing using our testing tools through comprehensive test scenarios
  • Ensure all requirements, tests and defects are up to date with regards to specific application needs
  • Develop test cases to ensure that software meets development, usability, functional and security standards and additionally meets defined requirements for the software
  • Perform quality assurance management, performance testing, unit testing, regression testing, load testing, automation testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as required
  • Examine and document all testing results and assist in identifying reasons for why actual results do not match expected testing results
  • Accessibility testing (508)
  • Analyzing how our software meets system, functional and performance requirements
  • Conducts/participates in peer reviews of test cases and test documents
  • Create dashboard reports and updates with automation test cases, test results
  • Communicate and proactively resolve issues with engineers to determine where issues lie and how we can address them as a project team
  • Conduct Test Readiness review and Performance Testing to address user and performance issues before any changes are deployed into production.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of relevant test engineer experience
  • Experience with industry standard testing software such as:
    • Selenium
    • UFT/QTP
    • Jenkins,
    • JMeter
  • Experience testing web systems, both public facing and internal systems
  • Experience writing and executing test plans
  • Experience with manual and automated testing
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance and must live in the United States
  • Experience working within Agile teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • SaaS testing experience, such as Salesforce, Appian, ServiceNow
  • Experience with API testing frameworks, such as SOAPUI
  • Experience developing automated scripts for RESTful services and integrating them with Jenkins/GIT
  • Experience working with load testing tools, such as JMeter or LoadRunner
  • Previous HHS or Federal government experience

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
