Job Description:
POSITION GOALS
· Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
· Provide both classroom and lab instruction to adult non-credit Medical Assisting students utilizing an approved training curriculum and materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Plan, prepare, and deliver approved curriculum on a daily basis.
· Plan and organize instructional materials/supply inventories/tools/equipment.
· Evaluate and assist in the resolution of student concerns.
· Prepare lesson plans and course syllabus.
· Track student grades and attendance.
· Submit grades and attendance on a monthly basis.
· Lead, inspire, motivate, and advise students to actively participate in all aspects of their educational process.
· Maintain expertise in the subject area.
· Provide regular, accurate and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics, behavior, attendance, etc.
· Assist Program Manager with coordination of student externships.
· Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
· Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
· Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
· Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· A minimum of three (3) years' experience working in Patient Care.
· Current industry certification required, such as: RMA , CMA , or similar.
· A minimum of two years teaching experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires constant mobility throughout the school and region. Employee must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
