Job Description

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Technician - Video Production are to skillfully operate entertainment venues video systems, supervise video operations in the Entertainment venues, and manage and maintain the Production Department video equipment and venue video systems.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Install and operate video required for assigned shows, concerts, meetings, and events.
  • Assist and monitor video directors and technicians from visiting attractions with an eye on safety and preservation of venue systems and equipment.
  • Maintain complete knowledge and documentation of venue video systems.
  • Initiate scheduled maintenance and refurbishment of department video assets and manage pop up repairs.
  • Track location and status of all Production Department video equipment.
  • Create video content as assigned.
  • Assist management in advancing upcoming attractions.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain consumables inventory reports and keep management alerted to all necessary purchases.
  • Take a lead role in maintaining safe work practices and safe operating conditions.
  • Monitor and report materials and supplies expenditures for event settlements.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain OSHA 10 certification and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • 2 years of experience working in a live entertainment or technical environment.
  • 5 years of experience with video editing and video equipment operation.
  • Demonstrated experience with production shows, road shows and corporate events.
  • Experience in operating, installing, repairing, and maintaining theatre video equipment and systems .
  • Work with video switchers, video recorders, cameras, projectors and other key video hardware and software.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiarity of LED video walls, processors, controllers, and video servers.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • In-depth knowledge of video and graphic editing software.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Lift or carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend, and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
