Summary:
The Team Leader of Fold & Pack will be responsible to monitor productivity throughout the department, providing support and instruction where necessary. This person will assume training responsibilities when someone new comes into the department and as methods of production evolve. They must monitor the team’s attention to detail to ensure uniformity of quality in products that are being folded, packaged, or pressed. This person must constantly engage with the team, conduct meetings when the Finishing Supervisor is absent, and check in with each person in the department regularly to keep operations on track.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Read and interpret work orders on a computer
Fold and package products according to Matouk quality standards
Check to be sure each employee is provided any support needed
Meet production and quality standards
Pay meticulous attention to work detail of self and others
Cover for other employees in key operations while they are on break/lunch
Support continuous improvement activities and projects
Monitor employee/department performance
Monitor key performance indicators on the monitors to make necessary adjustments to remain on schedule
Monitor processes, materials, and surroundings
Training and Teaching Others
Monitor the team’s daily housekeeping/cleaning to ensure safety in the area
