Edina Law Firm is currently looking for an experienced tax preparer for Tax Season
Responsibilities include:
· Preparation of Individual and Fiduciary tax returns using Lacerte software
· Examine all tax return forms for accuracy and completeness
· Print and assemble final tax returns for paper filing or mailing of client copies
· Communicate directly with clients on tax related questions and issues in a timely manner
· Perform tax research where appropriate
· Assist in the E-Filing of tax returns
Requirements for Position :
· Accounting degree or EA preferred but not required
· Previous experience in preparation of Individual Income Tax Returns required
· Previous experience in preparation of Fiduciary Income Tax Returns is a plus
· Knowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in personal tax return preparation
· Strong critical thinking skills for effective decision-making
· Meticulous attention to detail
· Solid written and oral communication skills
· Excellent client service skills with an ability to handle pressure in a positive, professional manner
· Familiarity with Lacerte software a plus but not required
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Ability to work independently in a small office setting
· Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a sincere desire to serve our clients
Position and Compensation
· Hourly position $25 - $40 per hour commensurate with experience
· Full-Time Seasonal Position through April 15th including typical tax season overtime. We would consider a qualified candidate interested in part-time tax work after April 15th through the remainder of the year
