Position Summary:

As a Tasting Room Hospitality Professional, you are the face and spirit of d'Ellena. You will report to the Wine Deck & Events Manager and are more than a server; you are a storyteller and a guide. Your primary role is to lead guests on a memorable journey through our portfolio of wines and craft beers. You will achieve this by providing warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service, creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and eager to return.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome all guests with genuine enthusiasm.
  • Present menus and expertly guide guests through our wine and beer selections.
  • Conduct informative and engaging wine tastings, sharing the stories behind our vineyards and winemaking process.
  • Take guest orders accurately and efficiently process payments using our POS system.
  • Serve beverages, ensuring presentation meets our high standards.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, confidently answering questions.
  • Maintain the pristine cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, bar service area, and patio areas, including polishing glassware and restocking supplies.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown for private events as needed.
  • Uphold all ABC regulations and responsible beverage service standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • You are reliable, punctual, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • You must be 21 years of age or older.
  • You have, or can obtain, a valid RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certification and a California Food Handler's Certificate.
  • You are able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
  • You can stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. (equivalent to a case of wine).
  • Previous experience in a winery, tasting room, upscale restaurant, or craft bar is highly preferred.
