Job Description

We are currently looking for a sushi chef to be a part of this collaborative working environment.

• Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the sushi culinary team, overseeing all aspects of sushi preparation, presentation, and service.
• Menu Development: Create and curate a diverse and creative sushi menu showcasing innovation, quality, and authenticity while catering to members' preferences and dietary needs.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and taste, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor sushi chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Inventory and Cost Control: Manage inventory, control food costs, and collaborate with the procurement team to source high-quality ingredients while optimizing profitability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other culinary teams and departments to coordinate menu offerings, special events, and member dining experiences.
• Guest Experience: Interact with members, understand their preferences, and tailor sushi offerings to exceed their expectations, providing exceptional service and memorable dining experiences.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Sushi Chef, preferably in a high-end restaurant 
• In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, traditional and modern sushi styles, and a passion for culinary innovation.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team to achieve culinary excellence.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and interact professionally with members and guests.
• A keen eye for detail, creativity, and a commitment to delivering top-notch quality in every dish.
• Certification from a culinary school or relevant training would be advantageous.
