Summer Youth Services Internship

About the Internship:
The Summer LYNC Intern has a primary role of working with youth involved in the justice system providing supervision and mentorship in a supportive environment. The Summer LYNC Intern will work alongside a team dedicated to providing youth with real life and hands on work experience along with providing educational resources to gain employment skills. This position is an unpaid internship where you can obtain credit hours by consulting with their advisor or internship director.
  • Provide transportation to and from youth’s home to work locations throughout the catchment area assigned. 
  • Provide mentorship and guidance with clean-up of state parks by collecting and managing debris, painting fences, cutting shrubbery, planting flowers and bushes and other work as assigned by local parks supervisor
  • Collect daily timesheets and log daily hours
  • Behave Ethically: Understand ethical behavior and business practices, and ensure that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree enrollment in Criminal Justice, Community Organizing, Human Services, Sociology, Environmental Studies, Biology, Climate Change, Public Relations, Forestry, Parks & Recs Management, Wildlife Management, or Land Use and Planning
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours three times a week
  • Ability to work outdoors in summer months
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
