360 Talent Avenue has partnered with a private Jewish preschool located in Brooklyn, NY to hire Full Time and Flexible Substitute Teachers . You can be part of this team of passionate, professional faculty and staff, working to develop a Reggio-inspired school, in a supportive and creative community.

 

This position is a direct hire with our client.
Pay Range: $50K - $60K per year, depending upon experience and position.
Schedules: Full-Time & Flexible

 

What you’ll do:

As a Substitute Teacher , you will lead instructional and classroom management processes while meeting high-level care and educational standards for teachers who are away from the classroom.

• Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the Lead teacher
• When possible, study course material to be knowledgeable of the content in advance of lesson
• Assist students in developing an understanding of the subject matter 
• Utilize classroom and behavior management skills to maintain an effective learning environment
• Build relationships with students, staff, and school community
• Ensure all class responsibilities and project deadlines are met
• Provide Lead Teacher with report of lessons, activities, and class behavior
  
   

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (an Allegra Franco certificate in place of a Bachelor’s degree, may be accepted for certain substitute positions)
• 4 years of teaching experience
• Experience in early childhood education 
• Knowledge of Hebrew language and Jewish holidays and customs required for some substitute positions
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with student, staff and/or parent information
