Divine Mercy Catholic School is a vibrant K3 through eighth grade school located in South Milwaukee. We are currently seeking a faith filled, compassionate and creative person to join our school staff as a daily substitute teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for a candidate who possesses a deep commitment to excellence and personal growth, as well as a belief in all students. The ideal candidate is expected to make positive contributions in a team environment and to embrace the Divine Mercy Parish School mission.
The substitute teacher will:
oversee the activities of a classroom for a half or full day.
follow and execute lesson plans left by the teacher.
create a positive and safe learning atmosphere for all students
maintain open communication with homeroom teacher and administration
Bachelor's degree required
Strong classroom management
Ability to follow lessons plans
Creatively problem solve
Ability to demonstrate a high level of professional, ethical, and confidential behavior
Strong communication skills
Wisconsin Teaching License preferred (Persons with a background in education, related fields or hold a valid substitute license are encouraged to apply)
