Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Remote - Must Be Local to the Washington, DC Metro Area
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the financial accounting team in the US. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with US GAAP across global affiliates. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has a strong foundation in accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accounting records in compliance with US GAAP.
- Prepare and enter journal entries into NetSuite, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Support month-end close processes and collaborate with team members to meet deadlines.
- Participate in process improvements to enhance accounting workflows and efficiency.
- Contribute to financial projects and operational goals.
Required Knowledge and Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Active pursuit or partial completion of US CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, including public accounting.
- Experience in public accounting required (Big 4 experience is a plus).
- Located in the Washington, D.C. metro area for occasional in-person meetings.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-sufficient and proactive with problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Adaptable to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
