STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Status: Full Time, Exempt
Reports to: Manager and Partner
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

MDD is looking for a Staff Accountant to join the Pittsburgh team. The ideal candidate will have a sound technical background in accounting/finance, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and can work independently.  We are seeking individuals who are looking for challenges in the field of valuation with an interest in forensic accounting.  You will be working on projects from a variety of industries from small local retail shops to Fortune 500 companies.

Key Responsibilities

Projects will include evaluations for economic damage values.  You will be tracing funds, reviewing and analyzing financial data, performing revenue and expense projections, and learning to quantify damages as well as:

• Review reports and schedules
• Inputting data and analyzing invoices 
• Contacting insured parties and insurance adjusters regarding projects
• Assisting in preparation of reports from financial findings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Math or Finance
• CPA or actively pursuing a CPA designation is a plus 
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Possess a professional demeanor and be a positive thinker 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, and notably strong in Excel
• Valid driver's license, vehicle, and be willing to travel
