Salary: 104,650 - 189,175 USD per year Requirements:

• We are looking for candidates who are:
• Local to the Washington DC Metro area and able to work onsite.
• A US Citizen or US Person (Green Card holder) with the ability to obtain a Public Trust level 5 Clearance.
• Experienced in automating and optimizing DBA tasks using AI/ML, RPA, etc.
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 8+ years of secure agile software development experience in mission-critical federal enterprise systems using secure agile software development with DevSecOps (4 additional years of related experience considered in lieu of degree).
• Have 5+ years of experience leading database administration activities for enterprise software with more than 30 systems in a federal environment (Oracle, Databricks, SQL, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Database Administrator, you will:
• Lead the database administration support for all systems, tools, and technical solutions, including maintaining and enforcing standards, policies, and procedures across database schemas.
• Configure, monitor, and upgrade database-as-code and database continuous integration tools.
• Perform Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) changes and test data management.
• Install and upgrade databases and provide support for remediation of critical and high database security vulnerabilities within 30-60 days of identification.
• Provide database and system documentation to Data Center Contractors in support of installations/upgrades of databases or associated schemas.
• Provide recommendations for database performance improvements and manage Data Architecture (DA) activities, including:
• - Documenting, updating, and managing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• - Ensuring all data models are appropriately documented and stored in designated architectural repositories.
• - Creating, publishing, and managing reports, diagrams, charts, and other artifacts to convey Data Architecture findings and recommendations.
• - Advising on the creation, use, and maintenance of APIs, services, and micro-services incorporating industry best practices.
• - Participating and assisting in data governance activities and providing guidance on data architecture tools.
• - Researching new data architecture concepts, tools, technologies, and methods.

In this role, you will also be responsible for making data corrections in the database when requested, to address situations where a business user selects an incorrect value, code, or date. Additionally, you will be tasked with making data changes, when requested, to respond to business or regulatory needs.

The pay range for this position is approximately $104,650.00 - $189,175.00, which serves as a general guideline and may vary based on various factors such as responsibilities, education, and experience.
