Our bank client is seeking to fill a Sr. Commercial Loan Processor role located in the Schaumburg, IL market. The position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day processing workflow of the commercial loan processing department to assist lending officers, loan assistants, and frontline retail staff with document preparation for commercial and consumer loans.

Sr. Commercial Loan Processor responsibilities include:
Preparing and reviewing new and renewal commercial loan documentation for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to lender’s specific requirements with particular attention to rates, terms, collateral, covenants, and guarantees.
Obtaining necessary information (loan application, supporting documentation) to process and complete loan files.
Examining documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with existing underwriting guidelines.
Preparing accurate loan package and sending documents with closing instructions to the appropriate location.
Acting as a liaison between commercial lending officers/loan assistants/retail staff and other processors.
Maintaining pipeline calendar and notifying management of issues with staffing and deadlines.
Assisting in the supervision of commercial processing department employees, ensuring the workload is evenly distributed with a focus on accuracy and timely turnaround.

You also bring the following skills and experience:
High school diploma or GED.
Five or more years of commercial loan processor or commercial loan assistance experience, including documentation preparation is mandatory in the banking/financial industry.
Experience with LaserPro required.
Prior knowledge/understanding of bank policies and government regulations/laws that pertain to lending is strongly preferred.
Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with various types of internal and external customers
Must be able to always uphold confidentiality and customer privacy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented to review information and documents for accuracy.
Ability to handle a high volume, prioritize and function effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
