Job Description

The Claims Business Performance Senior Analyst, working under limited supervision, uses their business acumen, analytical skills, and data expertise to assess large-scale organizational gaps. This role participates in Functional Teams by participating in proactive conversations, managing their expectations and collaborating with partners across the company. The role is responsible for designing and delivering the optimal analytics solution for business needs. This role also continuously monitors the performance of implemented solutions using KPIs, providing valuable insights and helping the business make data-driven, fact-based decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts capability range assessments across business functional areas to help develop use cases for analytical solutions to business problems using knowledge of current state, current processes, future needs, industry trends, best practices, etc.
  • Provides strategic support through decision analysis and research including but not limited to summaries, hypothesis testing, data exploration, experimental design, action research and third-party reviews.
  • Performs in-depth data analysis that includes internal and external data sources such as financial, competitor, market and third-party data.
  • Creates comprehensive analytical solutions to solve complex business problems by designing, implementing and operating automated data/insights delivery and processes at the point of sale (POS), etc.
  • Builds and maintains learning models that support business use cases and ensure integration of Customer, employee/institution and policy plans.
  • Prepares, cleans and processes large volumes and multidimensional data from various sources to highlight patterns, anomalies, relationships and trends.
  • Performs descriptive and diagnostic analysis to provide actionable insights to multiple business clients through powerful data visualizations.
  • Engages and communicates with business leaders through proactive discussions, project status updates and delivery of implementation plans.
  • Performs post-installation monitoring, ongoing business profitability and performance tracking of business lines.
  • Creates and implements strong partnerships to drive alignment for the benefit of both business lines and the organization.
  • Leads and guides less experienced Business Performance Analysts and functional analysis teams to implement analytical solutions.
Qualifications
  • 3- 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Performance Analysis or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Data Analytics or a related field, and/or commensurate experience.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to link data analysis to business strategy and performance.
  • Experience in using data to provide actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to foresee industry trends and apply best practices in business analytics.
  • Proficiency in advanced analytical techniques, including predictive analytics and scenario modeling.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data sets into understandable and strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data in terms that are easy to understand for decision-makers. Proven leadership skills, capable of guiding and mentoring junior analysts and influencing senior stakeholders.
