Anticipated initial assignment is to be at Niagara Academy, Sanborn, NY.
The individual will be teaching Spanish in a departmentalized high school (grades 7-12) to students in programs of special education and alternative education.
The individual will participate in team meetings and group collaboration in meeting state requirements in content areas, as well as meeting student needs.
The individual must possess strong behavior management skills.
The individual will actively participate in continued professional growth and development.
Knowledge of common core learning standards as they apply to world languages, and experience working with students who are at risk of school failure because of academic, social and emotional differences, is desirable.
The individual must have strong content knowledge in Spanish.
The individual must have the ability to work in a collaborative culture and be a teacher leader.
Must have or be eligible for appropriate certification upon hire.
Regular attendance and dependability are required.
Other responsibilities may be assigned.
