Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher for grades 4-8 to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Spanish, with a focus on developing language proficiency, cultural understanding, and a love for languages. The teacher will be responsible for implementing an engaging curriculum that meets the needs of our students and aligns with our school's mission and vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement a comprehensive Spanish curriculum for students in grades 4-8.
• Create lesson plans that foster language acquisition, cultural appreciation, and communication skills.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including assignments, tests, and projects.
• Provide individualized instruction and support to students as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and support school initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive and productive learning environment.
• Participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Previous experience teaching Spanish at the elementary or middle school level preferred.
• Strong understanding of language acquisition pedagogy and best practices in language education.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Long Beach Catholic School.
