SAIC is looking for a Software Tester Technician to provide support in San Diego, CA. Hybrid Remote.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The UxS STRATCAP program involves deployment of autonomous unmanned surface vessels (USV’s) to demonstrate an enhanced warfighting capability to disrupt adversary activity in a given maritime region. The program seeks to develop an unmanned, remotely operated, and semi-autonomous USVs.

The UxS STRATCAP program is managed by the Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS) Program Office (PMS-406) within PEO Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), and is supported by NIWC Pacific, Code 564 who provides expertise to the program sponsor in the areas of hardware and software design, development, installation, test and evaluation of various unmanned and autonomous systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

• The candidate shall support software testing efforts Common Control System (CCS), which is the replacement to the Supervisory Control System (SCS), software testing utilizing test plans, test cases and test procedures to ensure developed software meets user requirements.
• The candidate will perform software testing using defined methods to ensure proper operation and freedom of defects or issues that cause crashes or abnormal outcomes.
• Candidate will document test results in both written and oral formats as needed to communicate with the leaders of the Test and Evaluation Team or Software Development Team. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: AA Degree in related discipline and three (3) years related experience or High School and five years experience. 

• Python coding certifications

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Familiarity with the Supervisory Control System (SCS) software
• Familiarity with SCS in operation
• Familiarity with loading and configuring of UxS Command and Control Interfaces such as Coms Processors, Coms Manager, and Coms Gateways
• Familiarity with operations in the Unmanned Operation Center (UOC)
• Experience with testing practices of the SCS software 

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• U.S. citizen and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Target salary range: $75,001 - $100,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
