Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled QA Engineer specializing in Automation to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our Health Insurance client's initiative to implement a new Business Rules Engine, integrating it with their core care processing system. As an Automation Engineer, you will lead end-to-end testing efforts and establish the foundation for our automation platform. Your expertise in automation engineering will be crucial in building and maintaining an automation framework, ensuring seamless execution across multiple Scrum teams. Additionally, you will serve as a strategic advisor, driving automation initiatives and implementing robust test strategies to support our company's technological evolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, converting manual test cases to automated testing approaches using Selenium WebDriver, with a preference for Java.
- Implement automation design patterns and adhere to software testing principles and methodologies.
- Troubleshoot and maintain existing automation frameworks in Java.
- Provide leadership in driving successful automation buildouts.
- Utilize open source testing tools (JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, etc.) effectively.
- Conduct web services testing using SOAPUI.
- Perform load and performance testing, including design, development, implementation, and reporting.
- Collaborate effectively within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Foster a positive attitude and problem-solving approach focused on achieving results.
Preferred Experience:
- Proficiency in Continuous Integration environments, ideally with Jenkins.
- Experience in load and performance testing tools such as Load Runner, JMeter, or VSTS.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced development environment with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java preferred) in automation testing.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with web services testing and performance testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-time Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
