Job Description

The Role : As a  Software Engineer Intern at MicroStrategy, you will be part of an agile & vibrant software development team that goes all in to provide our customers with the most powerful, scalable, and user-friendly platforms for analytics, mobility, and actionable intelligence. You will play a key role in enabling MicroStrategy products to be best-in-breed and optimized to leverage the latest advancements in AI, ML, Cloud, Containerization & Web/Mobile technologies. This position requires the employee to work four days a week in the Tysons Corner, VA office.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (targeting December 2025 or May 2026 graduates).
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages: JavaScript, Java, Python.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. 
• Strong teamwork and effective communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly. 
• Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies (i.e., data structures, algorithms, unit testing, secure programming, etc.).
• Our high-performance and innovative culture thrives on in-person collaboration, supported by a schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day of remote work. 
• As a Bitcoin Development Company, interest in Bitcoin, both the technology and as sound money is a plus.

Qualifications

• Familiarity or experience in AI and ML areas like LLMs, Prompt Engineering, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, LangChain, LangGraph. 
• Familiarity or experience with Containerization Infrastructures like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity or experience with Cloud Infrastructures like AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
• Experience in one or more of following areas: React, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, Swift, Kotlin, Spring Framework, RESTful API, and/or database concepts.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
