Comfort Keepers is looking for a caregiver to join our team. The caregiver is responsible for the physical care and emotional support of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability.

The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times.

Comfort Keepers is currently looking for a caregiver that has experience with dementia clients and wants to work Monday - Friday and available on weekends, if needed . We are looking for a dependable caregiver that wants to work close to where they live - (75032)

- Responsible for non-medical, in-home support services which provide for the comfort, safety, and general supervision of our senior clients.

- Provides companionship to those requiring socialization and/or minimum guidance to assure a safe, protected, clean, and orderly environment.

- Provides friendly companionship and assistance with daily activities including dressing guidance, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, running errands, laundry and light housekeeping

- Personal Care including bathing, dressing, mobility, incontinence care, feeding and other services

- Provides transportation to doctor’s appointments, beauty shops, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Home assistance – Provide light housekeeping, run errands or provide transportation if needed.  Accompany clients to appointments and assist with medications. Prepare meals, purchase food and provide personal assistance with general living needs.  Personal services could include toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming. Provide any financial aid if needed such as balancing checkbooks, going to the bank or helping the client to pay their bills.

• Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual.

REQUIREMENTS:

•Personal Care experience
* Experience with clients with dementia.
•A passion for the job and genuine desire to help others
*Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time
•Access to reliable transportation with a willingness to travel within 25 miles from your home.
•Up-to-date car insurance in your name, and valid TX Driver's License
•Ability to pass background checks and work-related references
•Must pass drug testing
