As a **Front End Developer** for Split Rocket, you’ll collaborate closely with Tech Lead to create seamless, compliant, and engaging front-end experiences that drive conversions and customer growth. As a CRO-focused agency, our front-end experience is critical to maximizing conversions; identifying and implementing high-impact optimizations is a key part of our strategy.
Through analyzing customer feedback and working with internal teams, you will:
* Develop expertise in our customer base, competitive landscape, and areas where we can elevate the user experience to increase conversions.
* Use these insights to evolve the front end in alignment with our company’s CRO goals and our customers’ evolving needs.
* Collaborate with the Tech Lead to set priorities, plan, and execute improvements that have a tangible impact on customer engagement and conversion rates.

**Your Day-to-Day:**
Regularly and proactively communicate with the Tech Lead on the status of your projects, tasks, priorities, deadlines, and issues.
* Effectively communicate the scope of new projects with the Tech Lead and recommend development approaches, requirements, and timelines for new projects.
* Work on delivering the defined roadmap, and sprints agreed upon at the start of every week.
* Work with outsourced support to update existing website content, adding new Shopify/Liquid templates, landing pages, features, and functionality.
* Troubleshoot and fix website issues, e.g. cross-browser styling issues, bugs, etc.
* Integrate, and customize third-party services, plugins, and apps that solve problems or enrich customer experience.
* Complete development tasks with an eye for design, requiring minimal rounds of QA revisions.
**Primary Duties**
**Must-Have: **
_Working Knowledge_
* Expert with Shopify/Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and vanilla JavaScript.
* You have a working knowledge of Shopify theme architecture, AJAX API, Meta fields, and other objects/properties within Shopify.
* **Proven** experience working with Shopify Storefront APIs, Git, and JSON
* You can test and debug websites, specifically online stores, using a browser console and similar tools.
* You have experience working with third-party Shopify apps, including implementation and debugging.
* **Proven** experience customizing pre-built Shopify themes/templates, customizing and building on top of them
* **Proven** experience developing cross-browser compatible, responsive websites optimized for screens/devices of all sizes (and able to resolve cross-browser compatibility issues reliably)
