Looking for a Senior Scrum Master to support an enhancement project for , a site designed to enhance productivity and content-sharing among employees. This role will focus on Agile coaching, facilitation, and continuous improvement, driving the effectiveness of the team by managing Agile practices in line with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies and promoting a high-quality engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Senior Scrum Master, you will be responsible for planning, facilitating, and guiding Agile team processes to ensure high-performance and alignment with project objectives. You will enable the team's success, foster productivity, and manage key Agile metrics. Key responsibilities include:

  • Agile Facilitation:

    • Lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, demos, and grooming.
    • Coach the team on Agile principles and SAFe practices to build a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.
    • Act as a servant leader, removing blockers and promoting collaborative, cross-functional teamwork.
  • Team Productivity & Improvement:

    • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, empowering the team to self-organize and increase productivity.
    • Support the Product Owner in refining stories, breaking down large tasks, and prioritizing work.
    • Guide the team in creating and maintaining team agreements, including Definition of Done (DoD) and Definition of Ready (DoR).
  • Agile Development Support:

    • Educate and promote engineering practices (such as Continuous Integration, TDD, ATDD, automated testing) that enhance speed, quality, and defect reduction.
    • Encourage cross-functional skill development and shared responsibility across team members.
  • ADO Board & Metrics Management:

    • Manage the Azure DevOps (ADO) board, ensuring all stories and tasks are accurately tracked and sprint-related data is current.
    • Monitor team metrics, such as velocity and sprint burndown, to analyze productivity and plan team capacity.
    • Ensure that sprints are closed on time, and work with the team to carry forward or backlog incomplete stories.
  • Release Planning & Collaboration:

    • Coordinate with leadership to align on release planning and ensure readiness for deployment.
    • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration.
    • Resolve conflicts through skilled negotiation and proactive problem-solving.
  • Documentation & Communication:

    • Maintain precise documentation and facilitate bi-directional communication within the team, leadership, and across departments.
    • Provide status updates and articulate challenges and risks to the team and project stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Scrum Master Certifications:

    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile Scrum certification.
    • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Certified (mandatory for this role).
  • Experience:

    • Strong experience managing Agile teams with a background in banking or financial projects.
    • Proven proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) for tracking Agile processes, sprint planning, and release management.
    • Deep understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall).
  • Technical & Agile Practices:

    • Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Continuous Integration, TDD, ATDD, and Agile games.
    • Ability to implement Agile industry best practices, lead planning sessions, set timelines, and enforce Agile principles within the team.
    • Strong understanding of metrics (e.g., sprint burndown, velocity) and their role in Agile team performance and planning.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to foster empowerment, transparency, and servant leadership.
    • Highly developed communication skills, both written and oral, and adept at building strong working relationships across the team.
    • Effective conflict resolution skills, with experience in negotiating solutions in challenging situations.
  • Financial Knowledge: Experience with financial services or banking projects, providing a strong context for working within a regulated environment and meeting compliance standards.
