Job Description
The Senior Interior Designer will manage projects, collaborate with design teams, vendors, and consultants. This role requires collaboration, proactivity, motivation, and a willingness to learn.
SALARY RANGE: $110,000-$130,000 *Wage may vary with experience, skills, or education
San Francisco, CA (not a remote role, travel required).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with architects and the design team for hotel projects.
- Create and manage FF&E schedules using Design Spec Software.
- Ensure contractor quality to maintain hotel standards.
- Research materials for cost, quality, and functionality.
- Build professional relationships and monitor hospitality trends.
- Oversee project lifecycle including PIP and CAPEX projects.
- Manage design schedules and deliverables.
- Conduct site inspections, review contractor performance, and manage workflow.
- Advise on bids, coordinate with procurement for budgeting and purchasing.
- Write scopes and RFPs, and respond to RFIs.
- Ensure specifications meet LEED requirements and regulatory codes.
- Mentor team members and ensure timely communications.
SKILLS TO DEVELOP:
- Develop construction plans, oversee bidding and contracting.
- Approve design specifications and manage materials procurement.
Requirements
- 10-15+ years in design and space planning, Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Expertise in Revit, Sketchup, Auto CAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA, and hospitality design standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
