Job Summary

 

Under general supervision, is responsible for performing skilled and lead work operating one of several types of heavy equipment used to excavate, load, transfer, or move dirt, gravel, or other material in the maintenance or construction of parks, streets, airport and other public properties. Exercises technical supervision over assigned crews.

San Antonio International Airport, 10223 John Saunders, San Antonio, Texas 78216

Work Hours
7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday  or Tuesday - Friday; Schedule based on the operational needs of the Airport.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Three (3) years of experience operating light, medium, and heavy equipment.
• Must have Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or the appropriate level of Texas Commercial "CDL" Driver's License plus all required endorsements.
• Must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment (STA) and a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) upon employment.
• Must maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport at all times. 

Preferred

Qualifications

:

• Preferred surface repair experience.
• Preferred surface painting experience.
• Preferred to have airfield maintenance experience.
