Job Description

Hire Resolve is partnering with a leading engineering firm in search of a highly skilled Senior Electrical Designer to join their team. The company is known for its expertise in the field and offers a collaborative and innovative work environment.

In this role, the Senior Electrical Designer will be responsible for leading and overseeing electrical design projects, including the design of electrical systems for commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage electrical design projects from conception to completion
• Create and review electrical design drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Develop and implement design strategies and solutions to meet project requirements and objectives
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and drafters
• Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance in design work
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs with other disciplines
• Perform quality control checks and review designs for accuracy and functionality
• Participate in meetings and presentations to communicate project progress and findings
• Producing electrical area classification drawings, one-line drawings, medium voltage power distribution drawings, lighting plans, grounding plans and other electrical drawings associated with process chemical facilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 6 - 12 years of experience in electrical design for engineering consulting firms
• Experience with Autodesk Plant 3D, Revit, or, preferably, Elecdes software; familiarity with EasyPower software (Arc Flash Studies)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design software
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Experience with power distribution, lighting design, and low voltage systems
