We have an established, happy base of customers around the Phoenix area, and they give us a steady stream of projects. We're an MEP Construction company, and our project types include all types of commercial work, including new construction and TI work in retail, restaurant, multifamily, education, public works, and just about everything else aside from utilities. Senior Electrical Designer position overview: You will be working with our project teams to design electrical systems for both new construction and TI projects around the Phoenix area. You'll be working primarily out of our office in Phoenix, with occasional site visits to project sites. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Use your judgement in applying standard engineering procedures and techniques to design or modify complex features or solutions. 
• In conjunction with our Project Engineers, and principals, you'll be produce electrical construction drawings. If you can do this in Revit, great! Otherwise, Autocad/Autocad Electrical is ok. 
• Offer your own expertise in preparing engineering proposals and developing scopes of work.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and our own standards
• Other responsibilities may include project management, client interactions, equipment selections, drawing review, site visits (may include occasional travel outside of the Phoenix area), procedure documentation, and scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 7 years' experience in consulting engineering in a commercial electrical construction context
• FE/EIT certification a plus!
• Knowledge of and experience with the above mentioned types of electrical construction projects
• Strong proficiency in CAD software such as Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar. Revit experience a big plus. 
• Strong proficiency in software for Lighting and Electrical System Analysis. 
• Knowledge in electrical industry codes and standards, such as NEC, Title 24, NFPA, and IECC.
