As tax season approaches, we seek experienced and detail-oriented tax preparers to join our team on a seasonal basis.
Job Overview:
The Seasonal Tax Preparer will prepare individual and business tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and S-Corp tax returns.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.
• Research and apply current tax regulations to client situations.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer tax-related questions.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience as a tax preparer in a public accounting firm is preferred.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software, ex: UltraTax.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is a plus.
