Seasonal Business Tax Preparer Location Frederick, MD :

DeLeon & Stang, CPAs & Advisors, the Mid-Atlantic's premier tax, assurance, consulting and accounting firm, is seeking a Seasonal Business Tax Accountant capable of being a preparer and reviewer on our tax team. The individual will be responsible for assisting the tax department with accurate and timely tax services. This position, has significant growth potential, requires strong technical ability combined with good interpersonal communication skills to deliver quality service for our clients. Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and Review a variety of Business & Individual tax returns in compliance with laws and regulations, with a heavier workload during tax season (January to April)
• Build clients relationships to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise
• Assist the tax team with communications to clients regarding tax matters
• Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare accurate work papers for tax engagements under the direct supervision of Managers

Requirements:

• At least 3+ years of public accounting and taxation experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field
• Good knowledge of business tax and accounting, compliance and laws
• Team player and ability to help mentor and train junior staff
• Detail oriented and attention to accuracy
• Self-Motivated
• Strong analytical skills
• Critical thinking and research skills
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in leading projects to completion and meeting tax deadlines & client deliverables
• Flexible, organized and open to feedback with excellent follow- through skills

Education/Certifications:

• Active and valid CPA license is highly desirable
