Key job responsibilities - Investigate and plan new services and features, obtaining feedback and alignment on design documents. - Implement, test, deploy and maintain high-quality software solutions. - Apply software engineering best practices to optimize performance, durability, cost, and security. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies and processes. - Technologies: Java, TypeScript, Python, AWS CDK, Docker, REST, GraphQL, OpenSearch, React. - AWS Services: Amazon SageMaker, S3, Fargate ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, AppSync. A day in the life - Located at Culver Studios with perks like Amazon MGM Studios "Employee Sneak Peak Screenings". - Work closely with Product, Design and other Engineering teams and deliver features for customers. - Two-week sprint cadence with demos, as well as a Monthly org-wide demo to showcase your work. About the team You will be joining a team of Software Engineers, Scientists, and Data Engineers focused on building sophisticated workflows that Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios use to optimize the release calendar of movies, tv shows and more. Our vision is to automate release planning by building an optimization framework powered by GenAI and ML that maximizes Prime Video KPIs across 5 regions and 40+ PV countries. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design - Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
