- Managing and delivering Observability products using open-source frameworks, monitoring tools, and technologies.
Main Responsibilities
- Project Initiation : Lead project kick-off and inception activities, setting a strong foundation for success.
- Cross-Functional Coordination : Drive and align teams in support of key product initiatives by working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, DevOps, and QA.
- Roadmap Development : Partner with Product Management to create viable roadmaps for platforms and capabilities, enabling the full potential of each product.
- Project Execution : Coordinate project development from initiation to release using Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC principles.
- Release Planning : Collaborate with business units to prioritize, plan, and complete development schedules for major product releases.
- Agile Methodology : Demonstrate proficiency in Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with an understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD).
- Team Metrics : Monitor and manage team velocity, financials, and other key metrics to ensure progress aligns with goals.
- Issue Resolution : Identify and escalate impediments, risks, and issues to maintain momentum in product development.
- Training and Mentoring : Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to Technical Project Managers, Agile Champions, and team members.
- Stakeholder Communication : Develop and deliver formal presentations, training, and executive-level updates to ensure all stakeholders are informed.
Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience :
- 5+ years as a Scrum Master or Technical Project Manager in a software development environment with multiple SAFe Agile teams.
- 2+ years managing and delivering Observability products using open-source frameworks, monitoring tools, and technologies.
- Experience with project budgeting and reporting.
- Certifications :
- SAFe and/or Scrum Master Certification is preferred.
- PMP Certification is a plus.
- Agile Expertise : In-depth knowledge of Agile practices, SCRUM, Test Driven Development, SAFe, XP, and Kanban.
