LOCATION: SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA

POSITION: RN- CASE MANAGERS RESOURCE MANAGEMENT/UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT/DISCHARGE PLANNING DEPT.
CASE LOAD OF 12-14 PATIENTS/DAY
TYPICAL DIAGNOSES OF PATIENTS CARED FOR IN YOUR UNIT:

Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Transitional Care Unit & ICU (top DRGs-elective joint surgeries, bariatric, CHF, CKD/ESRD, sepsis); Stroke unit; NO L&D, NO Pediatrics, NO Neurosurgery
Special skills required of travel nurses in your unit (e.g., certifications, knowledge of equipment, vents, drips, sheath removal, chest tubes, types of beds, drug protocols, etc.,):
Knowledge of Utilization Management using InterQual guidelines; Experience in Discharge planning
Areas that travel nurses would be required to float to: Inpatient Units, Emergency Department (possibly to cover AM or PM shift)
Specific computer skills that would be helpful for travel nurses to have: EPIC/KP Health Connect, MIDAS/CERME, Shared Drive (some knowledge of Word & Excel preferred)
Other comments for this unit: (e.g., scheduling, overtime, unit organization, staff strengths, etc.,)
Great teamwork within the department. Collaborative work force within the Medical Center.
Shifts: 8hrs/40hrs/wk
Start Date: ASAP
Length: 13 weeks
Pay Rate = $50/Hr

REQUIREMENTS
CA- RN - license in good standing
2 years of current acute care/hospital- case management experience
BLS current
CM- Certification preferred
2- Current- clinical references
Current Physical (within-12 months)
Current PPD (within- 12 months)
Titers- MMR/Varicella/Hep B
Tdap and Flu vaccine current
Respiratory Fit testing (within 12 months)
Must be able to past a back ground screening
Must be able to past urine drug testing
