Assist with the development and implementation of protocols, participant surveys, in-person assessments, biospecimen collection, informed consent, participant incentives, remote assessments, and performs other administrative tasks as needed with parents and children around the state of Michigan. This is a hybrid position, and you must be able to come into the Traverse City office 2-3 times a week.
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in the specific field of research employment or other related science fields; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in standard laboratory procedures and safety requirements and performing analytical and research techniques in an area related to research being performed; may require software specific to the area of research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position may require special licensing or certification in the field related to the area of employment.
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in a health, medical, or scientific field; experience and expertise working with research and consenting participants; and a high level of problem-solving and communication skills.
Able to relate and provide support to participants; experience working in urban communities, primarily within research; experience with medical terminology; knowledge of data confidentiality; skills working with different database systems, including REDCap.

Mostly standard work hours of M-F, 8am - 5pm, but may require some weekend and evening times based on research participant availability.
This is an off-dated position funded until 05/31/2025 with possible extension contingent upon funding renewal.
This position would require shipping and transporting of specimen and materials that may exceed 25 pounds.
Potential exposure to biospecimens including urine, saliva, hair, teeth, blood, and toenails.
